Guy has worked in both the commercial and private sector. He has twenty one years’ experience of working within education strategic leadership & development, change, resource and administration management.
Guy has a degree in Economics and Politics and a Masters in Education in Change Management. He previously held the post of Director of Business and Enterprise at Penair Academy and has been Head of Commissioning for Cornwall LA, the CEO of the SWGfL Trust, and Head of IT for Cornwall LEA. Guy has previous experience of working with and developing Multi-Academy Trusts, has been a Chair of Governors at two Primary Schools and a Special School and is very proud to currently be the Chair of Trustees of a Children’s Charity in Cornwall and a Specialist Leader in Education. Guy is very committed to ensuring that the Special Partnership Trust creates the best possible opportunities and environment for every learner in Cornwall to aspire and maximise their potential.

Gina was previously a Head Teacher of a special school which was recognised as outstanding by Ofsted (January 2013); she commenced her new role as Executive Head Teacher of our Special Partnership Trust in September 2018. Gina has many years’ classroom experience since she qualified in 1980 and has successfully taught all ages of pupils (2 – 19) with varying special educational needs. Gina has experience of working successfully with further education providers to ensure students learning journeys continue once they leave school. Her current role focusing upon school improvement and standards, enables her to visit all schools within our partnership working closely with Head Teachers, Senior Leadership Teams and staff leads in addressing our development plan. Gina additionally works with each schools governing body aimed at strengthening the leadership and management and accountability framework of each school. Gina also represents the SPT on the CAPH Safeguarding Board to ensure the Trust is up to date with latest information.

Kat has worked in education for 12 years, initially as an English teacher, but spent the last 7 years working as a secondary Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCo) and ARB Manager before moving into her current role with the trust. She gained a BA (First Class Honours) in English and Special Educational Needs through the Open University and a Masters degree with Distinction (MEd) specialising in SEND in 2011; her dissertation was focused on leadership and management of a new ARB build in the local area. Kat has represented Primary and Secondary ARBs in Cornwall for two years as part of the Cornwall Council Liaison group for Specialist Provision and has enjoyed the opportunity to further develop her strategic leadership skills. Having a son with significant needs, Kat brings a unique parental as well as professional understanding of the importance of providing quality education for young people with additional needs.

Tracey has worked in a corporate business environment in London and Hertfordshire for over twenty years and has enjoyed a successful career working in Human Resources, Change Management, Project Management and Process Improvement roles. She became a graduate of the CIPD in 2000 and gained Green Belt Six Sigma certification in 2011. After relocating back to Cornwall, Tracey joined the SPT at its formation in 2016.
Tracey provides project management support to the Trust core services team as well as schools, monitors risk and compliance, delivers internal and external communications and provides guidance on the use of processes and procedures.
She is currently a parent governor at Newquay Tretherras, where her son attends school. Tracey believes that every child has the right to the best learning opportunities, talent and resources possible.

Clare has spent the past 5 years working in varied governance roles for Primary, Secondary, Academies and FE in Hertfordshire. After relocating back to Cornwall to be close to her family, Clare joined the Special Partnership Trust in September 2018 in a new role as Leadership & Governance Support Officer. Clare will be supporting our Trustees and Local Governing Bodies and her focus will be to develop and standardise the Governance across the Trust.
