Local Governing Bodies

The Special Partnership Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees who are accountable to the Department for Education and have overall responsibilities and ultimate decision-making authority for all the work of the Trust, including the establishing and running of the academies operated by the Trust.  

The following academies are operated by the Trust:

  • Brunel School 
  • Curnow School
  • Doubletrees School
  • Nancealverne School
  • Mill Water School
  • Orchard Manor School
  • Castlebridge School
  • Bosvena School
  • Brunel School
  • Cury School
  • Pencalenick School (Brannel ARB, Budehaven ARB, Falmouth ARB, Mount Charles ARB)

The Trustees have established a Local Governing Body for each of the Academies and the Local Governing Body have the following delegated functions:

  • Pupil and staff wellbeing
  • Quality of the school offer
  • Pupil progress
  • Position of school in the local community
