Nancealverne School - Speech and Language therapist- Trust strategic lead

Hours: 3 days (0.6) 22.5 hours per week – 39 weeks per year (term time only INSET days) plus holiday entitlement. Total paid weeks 45.248

Salary: £42,121- £53,219 (dependent on experience) (FTE) pro rata.

Contract: 2 years fixed term

The Special Partnership Trust are seeking to appoint an innovative, experienced and dynamic Speech and Language Therapist Trust strategic lead.

This exciting role requires a committed and dedicated person to lead the strategic development of the Trust-wide therapeutic SALT offer; including the development of SALT intervention pathways. They will work within the Specialist Intervention Therapy Team and in close collaboration with the Trust schools and existing services, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our children and young people with complex needs.

The successful candidate will provide expertise, specialist advice and intervention for a varied communication caseload, working both discreetly and embedded within the educational environment across the Trust - providing clinical leadership and influence for strategic planning and service delivery across the Trust.

They will have knowledge of how communication interventions can be applied in practice to meet individual need; in addition to creativity, flexibility, resilience and a commitment to meeting the communication needs of our pupils through innovative provision and a holistic, pupil-centred approach.

A commitment to continuing professional development, developing their skills and the pursuit of professional excellence is essential.
