Welcome from the CEO

The Special Partnership Trust
Education is often full of jargon. Words are thrown around like confetti – and sometimes they stick, sometimes they don’t. But here at the SPT, we keep things simple. Because what we do is too important to be lost in translation.
We’re a Trust that does things differently. We lead with heart, we work with purpose, and every single decision we make starts with one question: “What’s best for our young people?”Guy ChappellCEO, Special Partnership TrustAnd this isn’t just about school. This is about life. It’s about creating better tomorrows. It’s about preparing our learners for the next step - whatever that may look like for them.I’m incredibly proud of our staff, our schools, and most of all, our young people. They inspire us every single day. Together, we’re building something bold, brave, and brilliant. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about who we are and where we’re going. Since 2016, we’ve been proudly championing specialist education in the South West. But before we grew, we laid the groundwork. We took the time to define what we stand for – our values, our purpose, and our “why.” This wasn’t just a box-ticking exercise. It was deep, deliberate work to ensure every decision we make is rooted in what matters most: delivering outstanding education for children and young people with special educational needs. That clarity has been our compass. It’s shaped how we’ve grown, why we’ve grown, and the kind of Trust we continue to become. Our family of special schools, ARBs and outreach partnerships now exists to help every learner thrive - academically, socially, emotionally, and beyond.
