Wendy has recently retired from a career which has been colourful and varied. The last 20 years she has worked in Public Health specialising in Sexual Health which included HIV and then Teenage Pregnancy covering the County of Devon.

She then went to Plymouth Health Action Zone and became a Commissioner for Drug and Alcohol Services.

For the final 6 years she worked as Operations Manager at a Charity providing services for people with multiple and complex needs. This included an onsite school in partnership with ACE (Alternative Complimentary Education). The partnership was a mix of teaching and youth work provision for young people who were struggling to manage their behaviour in a school setting. The Charity also had a family team so where possible we would try to engage the whole family, taking a trauma informed approach, offering a safe and welcoming place. Also present on this site was ACE Wrap Around Service for young people with a diagnosis of Autism.
