What is it like to work for the Special Partnership Trust

A School Improvement Partner Perspective

I am the School Improvement Partner for the trust. I work with all schools and area resource bases within the trust to support them in their provision for their young people and families. I monitor the quality of the curriculum and the effectiveness of safeguarding and I suggest improvements where possible.

Working with the Special Partnership Trust has been an absolute pleasure.

Leaders are open and honest and keen to improve. Working together as a team they develop each other’s strengths and support each other in areas of improvement. As a result the schools and resource bases within the trust are stronger together and the students and families get enhanced provision.

Leaders take advice readily but are also willing to challenge if they don’t think the advice fits their circumstances. As a result, they fully utilise external stakeholders such as myself, working with us to develop expertise and resources. This effective partnership allows me to feel part of the team and, as a consequence, I am fully invested in the success of the organisation.

I am very proud to be part of this support network. I am proud to be part of an organisation that cares for those most vulnerable and their families. I am proud to be part of a team that always strives for excellence even in the face of adversity.
