Working in partnership is fundamental to the Special Partnership Trust. We realise the value of partnership in delivering our core Trust aims of improving outcomes for SEN young people in all educational settings across the South West of England and influencing SEN practice, provision and outcomes nationally.

As a Trust we adopt an innovative approach to building networks of equitable partners and we are open to both formal and informal partnerships. To ensure that the Trust continues to improve and influence outcomes for all SEN young people within an ever evolving educational landscape, we maintain dynamic partnerships in which the values and objectives of the Trust are closely aligned with those of our partners.

Through our experience of delivering high quality educational and residential provision for a wide range of SEN learners in special and mainstream settings and our ongoing journey of evaluation and improvement, we recognise the importance of developing a broad range of partnerships. Our current partners include special schools, mainstream primary and secondary schools, area resource bases and mainstream and special multi academy trusts. Many of our current formal partnerships have evolved from Trust networked CPD and outreach work.

The breadth and depth of SEN skills and knowledge within the Trust allows all our partners to benefit from high quality CPD and support for educational development, provided by staff who have extensive operational and leadership experience in mainstream, area resource base and special school settings. This network of professional development and support provides a strong sense of community and a tangible CPD platform for SEN professionals across the South West. Future partnerships will further develop existing CPD and outreach offers and the Autism Education Hub, which through collaborative working will increase and enhance the continuum of regional SEN support and provision.
